The 12th edition, taking place on 9 May 2027, will introduce the new T100 Distance while retaining the popular Short Distance format
Challenge Salou – Costa Daurada will officially launch registrations for its 12th edition on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
As a special incentive, athletes who register within the first 48 hours will benefit from an exclusive promotional entry fee, providing an excellent opportunity to secure a place at one of the most renowned races on the international triathlon calendar.
The 2027 edition will bring significant sporting developments. The main novelty is the introduction of the new T100 Distance, replacing the former Middle Distance while preserving the essence of the fast and spectacular courses that have made Challenge Salou a favourite among triathletes from around the world.
The T100 Distance will feature 2 km of swimming, 80 km of cycling and 18 km of running. Athletes will enjoy the iconic Llevant Beach swim course, a fast cycling segment along the Salou-Tarragona highway and a run course by the Mediterranean Sea, supported by enthusiastic spectators throughout the race.
The distance will be available both as an individual race and as a relay event, offering a perfect opportunity for athletes wishing to share the Challenge experience as a team.
The Short Distance will remain part of the event programme. With 1 km of swimming, 54 km of cycling and 9 km of running, it continues to be an ideal option for athletes looking to enter the sport or take on a fast and accessible challenge while enjoying the same spectacular race courses.
After welcoming more than 1,200 triathletes from 50 nationalities in 2026, Challenge Salou – Costa Daurada is already looking ahead to 2027 with the ambition of continuing its growth as one of the leading sporting events on the Costa Daurada.
Registrations will be available from Wednesday, 3 June, through the event’s official website.
