OTSO Challenge Salou 2024 will have road closures on C-31B, Avinguda Andorra and Passeig Jaume I.
With the aim of minimising the possible road traffic congestion on Sunday, June 2nd, because of the celebration of OTSO Challenge Salou, the triathlon organisers together with the Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT), the Mossos d’Esquadra and the Local Police of Salou, with more than 40 agents and 120 security assistants, will put into operation a special traffic system.
Sunday morning, at 7:00a.m. traffic will be cut-off in the urban section of Salou where the race is carried out and at the same time, the C-31B will also be closed. It is expected that the situation can normalise around 1:00p.m.
Although the organisation will try to keep it to a minimum, this triathlon event will cause road disruptions that may cause some specific delays or detours on roads of the main and secondary road network of the municipality of Salou.
To facilitate the work of the Mossos d’Esquadra de Trànsit and prevent access to the race area, at 7:45a.m. all traffic on the C-31B highway will be diverted in both directions and it will reopen at 1:00p.m.
Users traveling through the affected sections must always follow the instructions of the Mossos d’Esquadra agents as well as the Salou Local Police.
