The agreement was presented this Tuesday, 24 March, strengthening the link between sport, innovation and sustainable mobility<\/strong><\/p>\n

Challenge Salou \u2013 Costa Daurada 2026 officially presented its official vehicle this Tuesday, 24 March, during an event held at the OMODA JAECOO Tecnotarraco facilities, consolidating a new partnership between the sporting event and the automotive company.<\/p>\n

The event was hosted by Juanan Fern\u00e1ndez, Race Director of Challenge Salou and Quality Director of Challenge Family, who welcomed attendees and introduced the authorities and partners present, including Yeray Moreno, Councillor for Sports of Salou City Council; Alfred Sans, manager of OMODA JAECOO Tecnotarraco; and Judit Santander, commercial director of the same company.<\/p>\n

During his speech, Juanan Fern\u00e1ndez highlighted the strategic value of this partnership in continuing to strengthen the international positioning of Challenge Salou, as well as its economic, social and tourism impact on the Costa Daurada.<\/p>\n

Alfred Sans then announced the agreement, underlining the strong connection between the values of triathlon and the brand\u2019s philosophy, based on effort, discipline and continuous improvement. He also emphasised the company\u2019s commitment to efficient mobility, noting that all its vehicles are available in electrified versions.<\/p>\n

Judit Santander further highlighted the operational dimension of the partnership, stressing the importance of providing solutions tailored to the needs of triathlon, a sport that involves complex logistics. In this regard, she pointed out the features of the Jaecoo 8 model, particularly its capacity and functionality for transporting sports equipment.<\/p>\n

She also confirmed the brand\u2019s presence throughout the race weekend at Passeig Jaume I in Salou, near the start and finish area, where vehicles will be showcased to the public, as well as its integration into the event logistics as the official vehicle.<\/p>\n

Yeray Moreno, Councillor for Sports of Salou City Council, highlighted the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors, as well as the role of sport as a driver of economic and social development and as a tool to promote the city.<\/p>\n

The event concluded with remarks from Juanan Fern\u00e1ndez, who emphasised the global dimension of Challenge Salou, underlining its international impact and its ability to generate economic activity and social cohesion.<\/p>\n

During the presentation, key figures were also shared, reinforcing Challenge Salou\u2019s status as one of the most important sporting events in the Costa Daurada, with strong international participation and a direct impact on tourism and the local economy.<\/p>\n
