Jan Sibbersen will take part on Challenge Salou

Jan will be helping at the swim recon workout powered by sailfish in Salou saturday.

1992 appears the Upper Franconian swimming talent for the first time in the international swimming scene. He makes his breakthrough on his parade distance, the 1,500m freestyle with a time of under 16:00 minutes at a meeting in Stockholm. Taken by the flair and the dynamics of triathlon and driven by the will to set a new world record on the swimming distance of IRONMAN triathlon, Jan begins his second sporting career as a professional triathlete. With “first out of water” titles at the most competitive long-distance races in the world, he quickly makes himself a name in the triathlon scene. He finished the swimming part of the IRONMAN Germany in Frankfurt in 42:17 minutes and beats the existing world record of 44:36 minutes significantly. With the end of his triathlon career, Jan establishes the brand sailfish and is dedicated to the development of the fastest and most flexible wetsuits. Since that day he is “made to make you faster”.

In the year 2018, almost 13 years after the end of his triathlon career, Jan makes one last attempt to break the IRONMAN Hawaii swim course record that was held since 1995 by Lars Jorgensen. After almost one year of preparation and dedication, Jan passes the swim exit after 46:29 min and since then holds the record for the fastest ever swim time at the IRONMAN World Championships.
